The Gondoliers

The twelfth of Gilbert and Sullivan’s fourteen operettas, The Gondoliers tells the story of two Venetian brothers and their auspicious ascent to the throne of Barataria…and the royal capers, mistaken identities, and romantic entanglements that ensue!

The Gilbert & Sullivan Opera Company’s 66th production sets sail March 2026 in Mandel Hall on the University of Chicago campus.
